The U9 and U10 teams play “one day” games only while the U11 and U12 teams play a mixture of both “one day” and “two day” games. Wynnum Manly Junior Cricket is part of the Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club, which is one of the twelve Clubs with teams in the Brisbane Grade Cricket Competition. The Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club presently has a team in each of the six grades, and an U16 boys team playing in the Lord Taverners competition, a Sunday Legends team, an Over 40 team, a team playing in the Sub-Districts competition and a team in the Warehouse competition. Wynnum Manly also has Womens’ First and Second Grade teams playing in Brisbane Grade Cricket Competition as well as playing in the Paul Pink T20 competition for girls under 15.As Wynnum junior cricketers develop their cricketing skills, notch up some significant performances and grow in size and maturity, they are provided with opportunities to play senior cricket whilst they are still juniors and to train with the men and women. This greatly eases their way into senior cricket and it often helps to ensure that they continue to play cricket after leaving school.
